ABOUT US
The Longbeach Coastal Challenge started as a mountainbike only event in 2007. It is the once a year opportunity to ride, run and walk along this stunning piece of Canterbury coastline.
The event is run by a team of committed volunteers from the parents/teachers of Longbeach School and members of the Hinds and Districts Lions Club. These two groups have come together to combine their experience and skills to produce an event that Mid Canterbury is proud of.
All funds raised from the Longbeach Coastal Challenge are evenly divided between Longbeach School and Hinds and Districts Lions Charitable Trust. The Lions also donate a proportion of their funds to the Maia Health Foundation.
All of the organisers and marshalls on the day are volunteers.
